We didn’t do much at all today as Craig and Emily were
leaving for Japan at 3pm. We were to
change rooms, as we had a two bedroom place and were changing to a one bedroom
for tonight for Kylie and myself to stay in.
Luck had it they said we could stay in the same room, so that was
easier. We walked down to the local
souvenir shop to get Emily’s last minute bits and bobs, then went back to our
rooms and chilled out till Craig and Emily had to leave. I was then on my own, I just caught up on
organising my photos then had a nana-nap.
Kylie arrived at 5ish.
We went for a walk later on to find a nice place to
eat. Most of the pubs were full, we
thought Spanish would be nice and eventually found a Spanish place called Cafe
Brindisa in South Kensington. It was
yummy, we had lots of little plates of different foods. For you foodies, namely
Aimee, we had Kikones (toasted corn), Habas Fritas (toasted broad beans),
Vegetarian Bomba (roasted aubergine, pepper and onion croqueta), Pulpo a la
Gallega (Galician style octopus with potatoes and pimenton), Patatas Brava o
Alioli (fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce), Chicken Breast (stuffed with
goat’s cheese, almonds and golden raisins) and Payoyo Cheese (semi cured goat’s
cheese with grapes). It was so yummy, it
sounds a lot of food but they were all very small sized portions. We had a nice stroll back to the hotel, it
was cold, but not raining!
